Thinking of You~

Happy weekend everyone~
Hope your start of the new weekend is going great!  I've decided to do another one of those quilt design cards, did this one yesterday.  It really is fast to do, love the outcome of it when it's completed.  This is one other way of getting rid of those scraps too!.   Basically it's just using a double sided designer's paper and cutting them into (8) 1 inch squares and either using your cutter or by hand and cut that square in half again.  Lay your pattern out and wah lah and instant quilt pattern.  The rest is using your imagination and taking it to the next level.

My rest of the supplies I used:
papers - Echo paper
button, twine
Cuttlebug embossing folder
sentiment - Stampendous

Enjoy your crafty weekend!

Happy Friday and some very exciting news to share!

Happy Friday everyone~
And this also comes with  doing the happy dance too,  I've been waiting and wanting to be on this design team for such a very long time.  And I'm so over-whelm and with happy tears to say that I got chosen to be on this design team.  Yes, I 'm so honored and blessed to be chosen on Kitty Bee Designs, thank you so much to Kelli (Scraps & photoGRAFFS) and Ruth (Kitty Bee Designs).
When I first discovered Kitty Bee Designs  I became one of her earliest follower's on her blog and just was thrilled to see all her cute images.  I remembered back then asking if she was ever going to have a design team, and she replied saying that she was still a newbie and still trying to get a feel of doing it.  Then when I seen her with a DT call I knew I had to try and get in, LOL!  Yippee, I made it!  Tons of kisses to all of you.   Digital stamps are right up my alley, to see more of Ruth's designs hop on to Kitty Bee Designs Etsy shop and check out her awesome selections.  After seeing all of her designs, I guarantee you will be buying several of them...

Here is my first posting:  It's Challenge #4 - Summer

Believe in you Dreams!

Here's another shadow box  frame that I made for an awesome friend and also appreciation gift for turning me on to this R.A.K. butterfly die that she gave me.   Love this butterfly die by Memory box it's super big and easier to paper piece.   The shadow box frame is super sturdy and love how perfect the outcome of the frame size of it.  It's just with one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock, strong 2 way tape and the rest is using your creative mind to decorate it.   It doesn't have to be hung, you can also buy one of those easels and put it on your favorite spot as a decor.  If you saw my previous posting that I made for my mom she has it on an easel and it's sitting on her TV stand.  She just loves it and always starring at  it she says, LOL!

Find joy everyday!

Happy 4th of July everyone~
Well as I mentioned on my previous posting, here is my finish project that I made for my Mom!  She's very obsess with all types of butterflies and I know she will be pleased to have this on her dresser.  My mom has butterfly mobiles hanging on her entrance to her house, magnets on her refrigerator, her bathroom is decorated with nothing but butterflies, LOL.
For my project that I created, those butterflies were my first attempt, and boy it was a bit challenging at start.  I guess you need steady hands, patience and having the right tools to work with.  I went with the colors she adores so I worked with what I had and took it for there.  Each butterfly  I ran it three times with my Big Shot and laid all those pieces on a white mat board and went with my imagination.   I used QuickStik and wow it was a big difference than using my tweezers.   The butterflies were from Memory Box, they coordinate perfectly on each other.   I must say in real its so exquisite, definitely I will be doing more like this for cards and other projects.  You may say it's like paper piecing, but I didn't just like the thin cutting of it.  I starred at it for a long time and began working with my vision, and tadah~  Look at the end result!  A Shadow Box....

Supplies Used:
Frame - 1 sheet of thick black cardstock 12 x 12
Butterfly dies - Memory Box
Dragonfly die - Elizabeth Crafts
Spring border - Memory Box - colored with Spectrum noir markers
Flowers - Spellbinders
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug
Doilies, gems
Flourish - Cheery Lyn Designs
papers - Stampin Up
ribbon - Stampin Up
sentiment - Birdie Brown
tag - My Creative Time
brads - American Crafts
