Happy Birthday to my FIL!

Here's a card I had posted on FB yesterday and would share this to my bloggy friends that don't have FB.    My FIL through his younger days always dreamt of having a motorcycle but never could afford in getting one.   His country buddies would go cruising out in the country side of Hamakua and just hang out at their favorite beach spot and chrome up their motorcycles.   He always wanted a bike in black/gray/silver, so my hubby put on his thinking cap and decided this birthday he wanted a card with a motorcycle on it so at least he can just drool on it.   Now being that his way older of course I don't think he could handle holding up one of them, LOL!  So I googled for a Harley Davidson image and this is what I came up with.  As you can tell I created a little beach scene,  that's where you could find him every weekend or on his day's off at the beach.

For this scene card, I sponged in a cloud die to make the clouds, the water and the sand are scraps of papers that I had in my stash box and I don't have any recollection from who they are from.   My coconut tree die is from Die-Namics, sentiment is a laser cut from Island Scrapbooking, added gems on the corners of my card.  The bike image was colored with  Shinhwan twin markers and Spectrum noir, added some glossy accents to the lights and you can't really tell by the picture but on the gas tank and seat I used a sliver glittered pen that made the bike pop it looks so awesome in real.   My hubby freaked out on his dad's card that I made for him.... His birthday is coming up this coming week so I can't wait to see what he says when he opens up his card...  My hubby got to excited that he wrote in the inside of the card so I couldn't take a picture of it... I did another coconut tree die with a digital stamp image of a man snoozing  under the tree.
Well that's it for now...
We are heading into town to grab our paint, we are going to be re-doing our master bath it's been 10 years since it got a face lift, so I want to take it up to another level and change the colors and the fixtures.... So I will be busy working on this project and with my Easter baskets that I'm trying to complete too...
Hope to back soon!
Enjoy your crafty moments~
