A Thank you card !

I'm back with another quick posting, I made this thank you card early this morning for a dear blogging friend that sent me my happy mail last week for winning her blog candy.    I was surprised to receive my box filled with Close to my Heart Scrapbooking craft supplies....  It's almost a similarity to Stampin Up but wow I was stoked just mesmerizing my goodies.   A while back while I was blog hopping I ran across someone that had a card that caught my eye, and I saved the image because I knew  I wanted to try and  make this card one day... They were no instructions on how to do it so I just figured it out and it was actually a very simple card to make.    BTW the  flower stamp and sentiment is from the Spring My Acrylix set from Close to my Heart.
All I did was cut a white cardstock 4 1/4" x 8 1/2 " , I measured the center point which was at 2 3/4" put that on my Fiskars and cut it on an angle, so then now it looks like an envelope. I used my EK border punch cut two 5" strips and used double stick tape just to tack it down.  I took a piece of scrap paper that was already cut at 4" x 5 1/4" ran that through my Big Shot with my Cuttlebug embossing folder, that I double stick tape under my flap and adhered it to my colored cardstock.... I was in a rush and didn't take a pics of how it looks like inside but it's neat.... I stamped the flower four times with Stampin Up Pixie Pink, fussy cut  and added dimensions to give it that raise look.  I will be making more and will get better pics so you can see what it looks like.  I already  dropped this card off at the Postal office to be mailed out this morning.

A CAS Sympathy Card!

Just a quick post to share with you all a very CAS sympathy card that I made for my hubby's aunt that passed away recently.  I thought I had more in my stash box, looks like I need to make a couple more again... LOL!
I used Sizzix embossing folder, spellbinders die, Hero arts pearls and sentiment.

Sitting Pretty - 3D!

I got so inspired when I saw my blogging buddy Jas posting this morning on her TGF 3D box cards that I had to make me one.... Simple simple to make!  I'm still contemplating if I should add more embellies to this box card or what!  What do you think?  This will be mines to keep, sitting right on my computer stand  so no biggy.  I know I will definitely be making more of them soon and I can give them more detailing.  LOL!  I finally got my new Gorjuss stamps in and can't wait to complete some projects that I will be working on.  For this 3 D box card I use my Spellbinders die for the front opening,  Spectrum Noir and copic markers, pop up dots, WO flowers, little sentiment is from the Gorjuss stamp set, Martha Stewart border punch, pearls  and my latest new ribbon bow die.

Another bag!

Here is another quick / easy bag  that I also did yesterday.  This digi  ( Past your bedtime) is a freebie now and you can get her on Pixie Dust Studio Facebook, join the fan club and share your project too.  This digi will also be released later part of this month in the shop.  If you are not on Facebook I suggest you give it a try, lots of fun things and crafty friends to share and chat with...
So on to my bag, the papers are from the paper pad Hideaway, memory box die, button, sentiment from Kaiser craft, Spectrum Noir and copic markers and flower brads.... With coloring you can do this bag within 45 minutes and at a normal pace.  Like I mentioned on the bag their is no cutting involved it's scoring your paper correctly and folding the creases properly.

Don't be surprised if you see more of these bags, LOL!

A Back to School Project for a Teacher!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this but I was excited to share it with you all, this cute and easy origami style handbag can be used for any occasion or a just because gift bag.  It is simple and easy to do, and I will be making more of them on my postings to share.   They are just the perfect size and can hold a lot in this 12 x 12 cardstock... Their is absolutely no cutting involved, on one side you just score 3" x 3" turn it the other way and score it at 5" x 5", I took a 6" x 6" designer's paper and scored it 5" so that it would flap over, punched out my holes with my Crop-A-Dile, added brads for the handle.  For the handle I cut two strips of 1/2" x 12" cardstock.  I also had a lot of my already made apples that I did on a previous postings using my Create a Critter cartridge.   I try to keep a stash of each project using my Cricut so that I have them handy when I need them.  And last I used my Spell binder Flora Doily Motifs.  Now was this simple or not....  This handbag is so versatile then you can embellish it  how ever you want it.

I hope this project inspired you, I would like for you to try it out you will be amazed how quick and simple it easy... Can't wait to see your creation on this project!
Thanks for popping in~

I used my largest Spellbinder scallop circle as the rocker and added the second larger one for decor, for the top of the rocker I used Spellbinder eighteen colored my sun with copics, distress the edges with Stampin Up Yoyo Yellow, sentiment from Kaiser Craft, pearls and papers from American Craft and Basic Grey.  For some inspiration hop back over and see what those amazing ladies from the DT have to offer you.

Rounded Square Card!

Here is the #4  card kit that I won several weeks back, finally got to put this together. It's a rounded square card and quick CAS card to create for someone on a very last minute.  It's basically rounding off the squares and putting it together to make it look like a flower and adding a button in the middle.  Simple and cute idea..  Got a ribbon wrapped around with a cute mini tag and tied up with twine...

My DT (PDS)posting!

Today is my DT posting for Pixie Dust Studio , and I'm showcasing Swimming Dolly and you can get her here from the Studio.  This was totally a new style card I tried and it's alot bigger too, it is a 6 x 6 gate fold card.  After several attempts it ended up looking like this, this is actually a 6 x 12 sheet of card stock and I scored it at 3" x 9" and to make the opening  I taped my Spellbinder die  inside the middle closed the two flaps on the front and ran it through my Big Shot.   Because I already had my designer papers on my solid card stock, I don't think I would add my designer paper if I did it again  it was sort of thick trying to get it to budge through the Big Shot.  The designer papers are from American Crafts, the flip flops, beach ball and bucket/shovel are from Life's a Beach cricut cartridge cut at 2", I used Spectrum Noir and copic markers, stickles, glossy accents, Spellbinder die, sun (Hero Arts), Peachy Keen stamps, sentiment from Dorcerela Stamps (Summertime) and Martha Stewart border punch.
