My Card Swap sign up is here,
ENDS March 31st at midnight...
Remember earlier this month I made those Hello Kitty Invites well the birthday girl ask me if I could make her a banner so she can hang it up on her bedroom wall.. So to get this going I had to shake off the dust from my Cricut and get it on my work desk...I think that machine was more than happy to get started, everything just ran smoothly.. LOL! I used my George and Basic Shapes to get the letters cut at 3" to fit perfectly on my 4 x 4 chip boards that I used.. Also had the backing embossed with my Cuttle bug Swiss Dots, downloaded Hello Kitty and used diamond glaze on her nose to pop it out, used my Crocodile and grommets and tied twine to make a bow and used ribbon on each end so it can be hanged.
I also paper pieced Hello Kitty's ribbon - cute yeah?
Thanks for taking a peek...
Have a safe and crafty weekend....
Hugs~

This is so cute Shirl! I really like the look the embossing gives the panels, very cool!
ReplyDeleteOooh, how precious! :o) I adore Hello Kitty (which I probably stated on your invites!), so I naturally love this banner. The embossing is beautiful and I love the Hello Kitty on each end. And twine makes everything even better! :o) Another marvelous project, my friend! I'll be catching up throughout the weekend, as I was under the weather for much of the week. Have a sparkly day, my friend!

Absolutely darling! I just dusted off my cricut too I am sad to say! I am a bit rusty!!!! :-). This came out perfect!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun banner! I know my little girl would love to have something like this…if only I could figure out how to work my Silhouette, lol! Hope you're having a great weekend so far! The kids and I went to want "How I Became a Pirate" at the Windward College theatre and Teia LOVED it. I loved watching her face…I think it was the first time we went to a live theatre show together. I'll definitely take the kids more often!

so so so super cute, LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYour banner is just as cute as the b-day invites that you made. That is so nice of you to make the b-day girl a matching banner using your Cricut. BTW, it's great that you still remember how to use it. I have only used mine twice with a friend guiding me. I don't think I remember how to use it on my own. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWOW AWESOME job with your banner!I LOVE Hello Kitty,TOO CUTE!great embossing details!:)
ReplyDeleteWOWZERS, Shirl! Well worth the dusting!
