Happy New Year 2014!

Last update- The sun is shinning - yippee! as of 10:30 am....

I would like to wish all my bloggy friends in blogland a very Happy New Year!  Wow 2013 came by too quickly seems like I'm still stuff  from all the turkey feast that was just here not to long ago... Here on the Big Island it ended with a Wintery storm that sat on the Eastern side of the island for two days, we even had hail that came banging on our roof tops the night before. This is very unusual the last time I ever experience that when I was in my younger youth days.   The thunders went off like bombs and the lighting was a sight to see.   We are crossing our fingers that today will be a better day, we have New Year's eve family hopping and then once again more food to chow down on.   I'm prepping my sushi rice and baked manju this morning and also making my hamburger nori rolls.   Yummylicious!
Any how- keep safe during this last holiday for the year.   See you all back in 2014 and can't wait to see every one's new ideas & creations  you all have to share.
Cheers & enjoy!

TGF Happy New Year!

We have just a couple more days before the ending of 2013 and then it's time to ring in another New Year.  Yep, 2014 will be here in no time... yikes that means we are all getting another year older, I don't like that one bit (hehe).
I hope you all got some fun planning to ring in the New Year, it's again another holiday to chow down all those fantastic food where ever the party will be.  One of my resolutions is to work out harder and get back into my fitness as soon as this holiday is over...
Well on and on with all that, I decided to make another New Year's card using one of this oldie but goodie digital image from TGF.   I believe she first came out and back then was a freebie in 2011.  All I did was went into paintshop and erased her year and had it handwritten... I simply colored her with Spectrum noir and copic markers, added a designer's paper from the My Mind's Eye (Collectable paper pad), added stickles  and this cute ribbon that was given to me but a friend who was a ribbon hoarder.   I scored all her left overs but they are all in odd pieces and I still can make use of them in some way or another.  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by, I will be back before the year ends...

Showered with Love!

Whew~ it's already mid December... Weather here on the islands is just gorgeous as can be, got up with the big full moon, the sun is beaming through my palms.... Will be doing some yard work this morning and wait until it cools down and head on back to my crafty quiet space.
Today I wanted to share one of my new stamp / die set that I bought from Taylored Expressions.  I decided to do another CAS card!  My whale was inked with Stampin Up (Bleu Brilliant) on Basic Grey dotted paper and die cut with my whale die.  Added some stickles and dew drops and pop up dots to give it some dimension.

Challenge# 55- Make a Tag!

Hello peeps~
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend, whether if it was indoors / outdoors, shopping, crafting, etc. For me, we spent our Saturday working in the yard, weather was gorgeous as can be, we actually went into town and walk the mall to see if they were any specials going on.  Nothing really caught our liking, but hubby bought me (2) pairs of out going shoes from Ross.

So much for all that, it's time for another brand new challenge over at Lia Stampz and this time around the theme is "Make a Tag".  This should be another fun challenge to play along, I've seen so many pretty tags out there just by blog hopping.
Here is my tag:

Aloha Friday Challenge#14 - Mid Inspiration

Happy Aloha Friday peeps~
It's Kitty Bee Designs mid-inspiration for challenge #14 Christmas, and you still have until next Friday Dec. 20th to still play along with us.
For my mid-inspiration I went with a card/nugget box set.    This was my first attempt doing this and it sure was easy and fun to put together.   My Christmas owl was provided by Kitty Bee Designs, colored with Spectrum noir markers & stickles.  I embossed my backing with Cuttlebug swiss dots, word/label tag by Stampin Up.  Sentiment was computer generated, my papers are from the Pebbles paper pad (Welcome Christmas).  And it holds (10) Hershey nuggets, and I added ribbon to secure the card/box together.

You are my Sunshine!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away...

As I was creating this card the song came to mind and has been stuck in my head all morning as I'm prancing around cleaning up the bathrooms, LOL!
It's a CAS card but I just love those Peachy Keen faces, you can never get tired of them being on anything... I had them colored with copics and Spectrum noir markers, the sentiment comes with the sunshine.  And just love those rolling hills dies, another new Black Friday on-line special that I got at a bargain.

Tea Anyone?

Hope you weekend was awesome peeps!
For me I'm starting my new week with some heavy crafting, as I mentioned I hope to get all my projects done by  the ending of this week.   Then it's another major cleanup again in my craft room.   My poor Taco is boxed in and I do have  one of those expandable gates so he doesn't get to all the mess that's everywhere.    Yikes...... I thought I could get extra Christmas cards made, but looks  like I'm not going to get to that idea at the moment or if I'll have time too.

Any how here is another project off my checklist, since I got this posted on FB I've had several messages too from several of my friends  if I was going to make extras.  They too want  to give their close co-worker friends a gift like this.   I haven't replied back to  them yet, I'm too soft hearted and can't say 'No".   I've got to fulfill my other projects , sleep on this and reply back in a day or so to them.....
So here's my tea bag box holder, being this was my first take on this project it was a bit time consuming... I also had my matting distress around all the edges, my top flower is a die d-lites, added a yellow brad with a Stampin Up dimension  attached to a  scallop circle nestabilities,  My tea pot was cut  1 3/4" with my Cricut Love a Latte cartridge, added some foam dots to give in some dimension attached also to a scallop circle nest abilities.  Papers are from My Mind's Eye, just got them in that I ordered from some Black Friday deals that I went berserk during on-line shopping.

Toodles for now!

Happy New Year 2014!

Happy weekend peeps!
You must be saying what we haven't gone through Christmas yet and she is already ringing in the New Year.   Well, Christmas will be here in no time, so I'm being a little ahead.   No, I'm kidding ~ I'm working on my 2014 calendar for my desk and I was contemplating on this image to start the beginning of the New Year (January).    And I've still haven't dented all my Christmas projects yet, so hopefully I can spend the whole next week in finishing up everything that I'm supposed to accomplish.   LOL!
So anyhow here is one of Sister Stamps last release, I just love my mochi and so does my family.  We love them in any shape and flavors that they do come in.  Although we don't pound our mochi we do the cut short and do it the easy way out and that's either microwave or bake.    I had my images paper piece and finished coloring them up with my copic markers.  I had the background supposedly my ground sponge in with some gray tones from Stampin Up.  My sentiment is computer generated.    I think this may be one of my best stamp and card I made  from this company.

Thanks for peeking in!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Here are two cards that were fun to put together, it only took me minutes to have them made, as you can see - "NO COLORING"!   These were (2) dies that I bought  a couple months ago so I finally have them out and will be making a couple more of them.
The laser cut sentiment is from our local Island Scrapbooking which I had like almost  1 & 1/2  years ago, such a hoarder, hehe!

Any who here's another project I had posted over on FB yesterday and wanted to share with you all here.   I made these (4) cups yesterday and they were so quick and simple to make.   They are just the cutest in real and love hove pretty they turned out.   I had made them for my mom to give to her besties that she goes walking with every morning.    They will be filled up with treats and bagged up later.   Ooh another off my check list!

Notebook organizer and coaster calendar set!

Hello peeps~
Hope you're weekend is going great- I'm sure everyone is been busy busy catching up with all their crafty projects on their wish list.  I know I still have a bunch more that I need to get done soon or for sure I will be way behind by the time Christmas gets here.  LOL!
Here's another set I just finished up this evening, started working on it this morning than had it on pause and went out to do  some errands with hubby today.  Boy, I couldn't wait until I had gotten back home to get this finished up.   The paper piecing is a bit tedious on this die because of the wee pieces so it becomes a challenge.  And for me since I've made several of them before it gets much easier as I keep doing them.

supplies used:
papers - Papertrey ink
dies - Memory box, Spellbinders
buttons, floss, pen, post it notes, gems, pop up dots, magnetic strip
