Aloha Friday Challenge #22 (Animals) over at Kitty Bee Designs!

Aloha Friday peeps~
Hope your week has been going awesome and you had some quality time in your crafty space.   For me, I could spend all my time in my craft room if  I didn't have other commitments  that I have to revolve around with my other daily routines.   LOL!
I just love been in there, it's so endless especially when I'm surfing the net to all these wonderful sites to purchase more and more crafty items..  Ching ching their goes my hubby's wallet again.
Well back to our challenge for this new week, it's Team B's turn and for this Aloha Friday challenge our theme is "Animals".   Who doesn't love animals, I love love them as long as their are the friendly kind.    My four-legged pooch (Taco) is one spoiled  doggy he is part dog/human.  Too bad he can't talk back.   LOL!  Well for this challenge I'm using the digital image Gello the Giraffe.   I created a baby card to give to someone that will be having a baby this coming July.   I believe she is having a boy so this would coordinate with her baby nursery from what I was told.
For my card I colored my image with Spectrum noir markers, papers are Doodblebug, added buttons, sequins, pearls, ribbon and used my Martha Stewart doily lace border for the button of my card.   My onsie die  is from Taylored Expression, my hanger die is from My Creative Time, and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot.  Aw so in love with this card, I hope the new mommy will enjoy it just as much too.

We hope you can join in the fun, don't have any animal images hop on over to Kitty Bee Designs etsy store, they have a bunch of cuties you will have a hard time deciding for one. Our illustrator Ruth is just phenomenal with her artistic work!
Thanks for your stop - over!  See ya when I see you back here again...
Enjoy your crafty moments~

Going on a Picnic! LOL!

Just a quick post to share a picnic basket that I made yesterday to my bloggy buddies that don't have FB.   I seen a picnic basket yesterday morning that my bloggy buddy Nana  from My Crafting Channel posted on FB and I really love  how cute it was.   So I quickly googled around and found a tutorial to make one.   I love doing my own cut outs and figuring out things, I don't need a Silhouette or Cameo to do it for me.  LOL!  I'm old school and will never part with my Cricut, she is to precious and I really take good care of her.  hehe!  So back to this picnic basket, I couldn't believe how quickly I had this cut out and put together.   I say within an hour my basket was done.    It was just the perfect timing too, by bestie called me early yesterday morning and wanted to take me out to lunch.  So this is how this picnic basket came into play.  I've never been to Spoonful Cafe, gee I was amazed how tasty the food was.  Now, mind you I bought my digital camera with me, but without double checking my battery life on it, as soon as I had  snap the picture of our dishes the camera went kaput "low battery".   No pics to share.... how disappointed I was.
But we had a nice chat over lunch and I surprised her with this picnic basket in between of our lunch.   She was stoked and gave one loud laugh that the owner of the restaurant came over to our table to see what was going on.    She asked me next time you come back here to eat, can you make me one.  I will display it on my counter....  That was so cute of her to say that....
Well here is that picnic basket~
Is this a cute gift to make some one smile or not!

Bright Colors!

It's already another new challenge for the challenge team over at Milk Coffee Stamps!
Our theme for this fun challenge is using" bright colors".    I created a small scene for this digital image "Lisbeth Sleeps".   She is resting peacefully leaning on a tree stump after reading her book.   I over did the mushrooms a bit by coloring them with some deep purples.  I drew in some grass so she would have some padding under her, added some stamp flowers, butterfly's, bubble and sentiment  from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-1372.  Added a gem from Taylored Express to her wee flower that is on her ear, gave the butterfly's some star dust stickles to make them sparkle and also added gems to the center of the flowers.  The cloud die is from My Creative Time, it really didn't show that much on the picture, but in real it's pretty unique.  I added snowtex to them to give them some puffiness, added a 1" offray ribbon to complete my card.  My markers are all from Stampin Up love this set that I got that was given to me from a friend that got  it free from an estate sale from some collector that never used them... Boy did I score on this!
Don't forget to hop back over and check what the rest of the DT members have for your inspiration..

Graduation money holder!

I've got another graduation money holder to share with you all, did this one with my We R envelope punch board.   A close friend of ours requested one of these money holders since they will be attending a relatives graduation in Kauai Hawaii.   She specifically wanted the school colors which are in red/black/white.   She was stoked with it when I gave it to her yesterday.

Got more of these in other school colors to make,  and if you take notice they all want in the same style patterns.   LOL!
See ya back here soon~

It's that time again to be on the spotlight at Kitty Bee Design.  Hope your Easter was great, it's one of our family's favorite get together every year.   We always get together and do a potluck luncheon, this year it was over at the in-laws gee we had so much food, looks like I won't have to be cooking all week long, yeh!  LOL!
Well back to my card, for today's spotlight I'm using Emilee the Elephant!

I did my own checker board pattern for this card, it's so simple and gives it a different effect to the card.. I kept it CAS - no designer paper!  Colored Emilee with some copic and Shinhan twin markers, added gems, my sentiment is from Peachy Keen PK-192 stamp set and added some washi tape.
Don't forget you can get Emilee and all the rest of the cutest digital or clear stamps at Kitty Bee Design here!

Prepping my Graduation Money Holder Cards!

Graduation will soon be around the corner, and I've got lot of request again for this year to make graduation money holders.   So I'm starting to work on different ideas and will be posting them up as I get them completed.   Here is one of them and I went with the school colors of Green/Yellow as a replica color for Honokaa High & Elementary School here on the Big Island.    I also used my envelope punch board to do this money holder, I didn't receive my number die on time so I used my Die-Namics stamp for this one.   So I finally got my happy mail in and received my order a day later, but now I can do mass production since I have everything I need to complete them.   LOL!   For this sample that I made I didn't take a pic of the Velcro sticky back that I have for the inside flap will show it on the next one.

Thanks for peeking in - enjoy your crafty moments..
See ya soon!

Birthday card / Treat holders!

It's a start of a new week, hope your weekend was awesome... We started to do some cleaning in the back part of our house, a project that has been neglected for quite some time now!  We have a huge dog kennel and the fencing in the back of it, is starting to disintegrate so hubby needed some help in getting measurements and re-shuffling all of his tools that he had stored in the stalls of the kennels.  Boy what a nightmare, came across centipedes, coqui frogs and they are not to my likings, LOL!  Now that the cleaning is done, we just need to decide on putting up the privacy wall.
Any how here is another project I did with my WeR Memory envelope punch board did this a few days ago and finally finished it off.   These treat holders are like a bag in the box simple to make with using (1) 6 x 6 designer paper for each treat holder.   The theme of her birthday party is Pink & Purple.  For the flowers I used my Spellbinders added a purple brad from Doodlebug, tag/sentiment (My Creative Time), to tie it off I punched a hole with my crocodile punch added baker's twine and wrapped my Hershey nuggets.  Punched my butterfly with Martha Stewart and added some rhinestones from Taylored Expression.

For the card I had fun coloring her up, she was one of the digital images that I chose from my winnings of $7.00 that I won from C.C. Designs blog hop on Eva's (Crafting This & That)blog.  If you haven't been to her blog, Eva is one fantastic crafter her coloring is just amazing.   Thanks Eva for picking me on this win.....Here's Phoebe Tad Pole, love her skinny legs this fits perfect for the birthday girl.   She was colored with my favorite markers, Spectrum Noir and copics, embossing folder is from Darice, sentiment from Island Scrapbooking, washi tapes and a big purple gem.

Well it's off to my next project - see ya soon!

Yappy Birthday!

Here's another birthday card that I need to make for another member of the family... It's Maile's 6th birthday and she loves pinks and any thing to do with puppies... In fact she has a toy chihuahua she calls "Baby".  It's so wee with big tall ears!.   I think, I mean I know she is going to love her card... LOL!

For her card I used the digital image from Digi Stamp Boutique and it also came with the sentiment.  Colored the images with Spectrum & copic markers, added glossy accents, added a strip of purple washi tape, papers from MME, floss for the balloon strings and balloon die from My Creative Time.   This is so sweet, don't you think so?
Enjoy your rest of your crafty day and see ya back here real soon~~

Birthday card for Keoni!

A quick post to share a card that I made this morning!  I know I've said this many times before but here is another freebie digital image that I got and didn't write down where or if I had won this or not.... But thank you who ever the illustrator is, I had this in my file just as long as all the rest of my images with out no names..... (ugh)!
Anyhow here he is colored up and just the perfect image for a nine year old that loves to skateboard.   His a replica of the image, I gave him all the color tones that Keoni is and loves to wear.  LOL!  Colored him up with  a mixture of copics and Martha Stewarts markers.  The embossing folder is Quic Kutz, the stars are from Die-Namics and the laser cut sentiment from Island Scrapbooking.

I was supposed to be working on a  new project over the weekend, but hubby want's to work in our back property.... We see how it goes!  LOL!
Enjoy your crafty weekend and see ya back here soon~

Tea Pocket Holder!

Aloha Friday peeps!
Here's a cool project I finished off last evening... In fact I did (2) of these triple pocket tea holders but only could show you one for now, LOL!  The other is for one of my DT project that is not due for it's posting yet.... These are gifts that I made for some besties of mines that I walk with in the mornings.   They are simply adorable to make they can hold cocoa packets, or ghiradelli  chocolates in the pouches too.  For this gift I added (3) packets of Lipton Green Tea.... The more matting you put on your base holder the more sturdy you base holder gets.   The base is cut at 7 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 & 4 1/2, and from there you just let your imagination take over in decoring your pouch.  I actually have matting on the front  & back panels and the inside panels.   Then I added dp papers (American Crafts) to all 4 panels.  If you look really good my ribbon is attached first before matting the front and back panels,  my Stampin Up ribbon is cut at 20".  My front panel images are from (Love you a Latte)  Cricut cartridge, the teapot was cut at 3"and I distressed the  edges using Tim Holtz distressing ink.  The sentiment below was cut at 2" and I added some liquid pearls to make it pop... Looking at the photo it seems  the glare of the lights made it seem like their is a smudge, but in real it's perfect as can be.  On the left inside panel I use my Spellbinders (Label One),  although I left it blank just in case the recipient wants to recycle this to give to someone else.
Now, on the right hand side where you see those (3) pouches I cut (3) pieces of 4 x 6 1/4 scored each side at 1/2" and scored on the 6 1/4 side 3 1/2.  On the larger side I corner round the edges added matting on the front of each pouch and use sturdy two-way tape.  Added a button and twine as an embellishment.
I hope you give this a try, you don't have to make it (3) pouches, you can make it two and it still will look awesome... FYI- you can also add those pouches on the left side too, now wouldn't this be perfect for a Mother's Day gift?   Something to think about!  LOL!

Enjoy your crafty weekend and see ya back here real soon!

Happy weekend peeps!
Here's another card that I made for my stash box, I didn't want another Easter card so I sort of turned it into a birthday card.  The digital image was a freebie at Spyder's Corner that I got maybe a couple of weeks ago.   I colored the image with Spectrum noir markers, added stickles and glossy accents, framed it on my Spellbinders lacey and large ovales, sentiment is a laser cut from Island Scrapbooking and papers from my stash and popped it up with foam dots.

Enjoy your hippity hop weekend and crafty moments..

Mini coach bags!

Here's several mini coach bags that I made using some scraps that I've been sorting out from my humongous pile that I have, LOL!  I will be sharing these with some of my friends that I meet up in the mornings.   They hold (2) Hershey nuggets in them and is just a quick project to whip up together... These actually are perfect for any occasion,  in fact I will do this for an upcoming birthday project that is coming up this month... Duh, my lights just flickered, LOL!  Being that I've already got so many pieces of scraps this will be ideal... I will work on this and get them posted when I get them completed....... But I will have to make them more girly and get more nuggets....
Their is so many possibilities in making them, you can make them even fancier by embossing the backgrounds adding more details on them.   I went the easy way out and added a bunch of ribbons, gems, pearls, Velcro for the enclosures, corner rounded the edges....
FYI - A sheet of 12 x 12 can make you 12 bags....

Thanks of stopping by - see you back here soon!
