2013 Calendar!

Hello all my crafty friends~
Today I want to share what I'm working in between tons of projects and it's prepping my 2013 calendars that I need to make for the new year.  This first set is going to be mines and it's going to sitting right on my computer stand.  LOL!  I decided that I didn't want to make one of those easel cards and tack down the whole pad of calendars like I did last year..  I'm taking it up another notch by working each month differently and probably go with the theme of  each month and making  it more interesting.  Let me tell you I got quite a bunch to make, my hubby thinks I won't get them all done on time.   We have a small bet going on, hehe!  If I win, I will let you all know by mid December....Oh boy, that means I will have to get at least 5  yearly calendars completed by each month.  I'm already two weeks behind on  schedule- yikes!.
Any who like I mentioned each month will have a different theme so for my first month I decided to use  Sister Stamps (Firecrackers) and I believe 2013 is year of the Snake. I thought this stamp was appropriate because it signifies popping firecrackers chasing away the bad and bringing in the good.   Those cuties were inked up with Spectrum Noir, and copics and I had their outfits paper piece, corner banner by C.C. Designs, lazer cut sakura flowers from Island Scrapbooking, O-rings, Crop-A-Dile to punch out my eyelets and pop up dots.
I will show you each month as I get them done, next will be February (Hearts) for Valentine's - yeah!

FYI - The images are popped off the firecracker !
They looked so cute in real~

I hope I've inspired some of you - I'm not going to procrastinate like I did last year scrambling to finish all my projects , the way the days are flying pass us I'm already prepping...

Thanks for stopping by and peeking in!
Enjoy the rest of your day/evening...

Hello all my crafty friends!
Today starts a new challenge over  at Critter's Sketch and I chose to use this super cute digi image from Digi Doodle Shop ( Louis & Daisies) .  The theme for this week is Digi Week and our sponsor for August is not only but Digi Doodle Shop.   For some inspirations hop back over and see what those amazing ladies from the DT have to offer you.

 A word from our sponsor:

Digi Doodle Shop is the results of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts. It was started a little over 3 years ago with a little more than 100 stamps, and has since then grown to almost 500 stamps. Joy (the mother of this team) designs realistic images, while Judy (aka/daughter) loves the “fun side of life”, and create images with a cartoon flair. Having these two complimenting styles have enabled Digi Doodle Shop to offer a wide variety of stamps.

Here is my card for this challenge:

You can read all the deets here!  I'm using Give Big Boy and made a flap card using papers from October Afternoon, stars from Die-namics, Spectrum Noir and Shinhan Twin markers.  I left the card with out no embellishes  and didn't want to over power it since it will be going to a child at the hospital.  Krista's intention is to hand carry these cards and take them to the hospital ~ now how special is this.  She is such a giver at heart!

Showcase Halloween!

Today we are showcasing  Milk Coffee Stamps new release on their Halloween digi images... And Nana/Esme have created a bunch of cute images.  I wanted to play along so I decided to make another 3D box card and I was thrilled to death the way it turned out... It is really amazing in real, love the effect of the way Alicia  as Cute Ghost pops off the inside of this box card.  I had quite of a bit detailing going on with my project, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir, copics and Shinhan Twin markers, Sakura glaze pens, stickles, Martha Stewart fence border punch, Fiskars grass punch, the background paper from last years stash - humm it might be American Crafts (?), the bats and cats where from stash also from last year, buttons, computer generated sentiment. lots of pop up dots and  the outside frame I used my Spellbinders largest rectangle scallops for the opening.   I hope this inspires you to make a 3D box, I would love to see what you can create... The box is quick and simple to make it's how you want to design it that is a little time consuming... LOL!

Magazine card holder!

2nd post!

Hello all my crafty blogging buddies!
I've been surfing the web looking for ideas to make for the upcoming holidays, I came across this tutorial for this cute magazine card holder so I decided to make one this morning.. I'm sure their must be a lot of you out there that has so many cards that you don't know what to do with them... Some may have been sitting in your Etsy stores for quite some time, or maybe on EBay, trying to sell them but having no luck well I'm one of them.  LOL!
So I came up with this cute idea,  my family and close friends love hand made cards so I decided I will be making these magazine card holders and give them cards for all different occasions that way they can either keep it  for themselves or give them away with their gift giving...  It was simple and really fast to put together.  So for my first one I will consider this a trial and error... So now that I have mastered this, I can start planning going forward... They are sturdy and also make cute holders to put on your desk too.    This magazine holder can fit up to 6 - 8 cards and envelopes , well I take it back if you put a lot of embellies on them then you will have to make that  determination.  For my posting on this I have (8) cards and (8) envelopes a total of 16 that fits in here.  We both have big families on both sides, so counting my cards and card holders I sure can  deplete my stack of cards to a worthy cause to give away  to our family members.... Now, doesn't this make pure sense!  Instead of hoarding  they will be put to good use... Yeah, I know it's hard to part with those cards, especially putting all that hard work to it all.   I would rather see my cards make some body smile, giggle, or shed a tear.   Okay enough of me babbling!
Let me get to my project, so I just used previous cards that I made recently just to see what they would  look like in this holder.   It's called a sample so you all can see the picture.  I used K & Co. on the papers, Martha Stewart border punch, lace, liquid pearls,  sentiment from SOG  and Spellbinders die.  BTW these are A2 cards.

I hope this inspired you to make one too... Decorate it and put it in a clear poly bag wrapped with a beautiful tag and ribbon.   I bet I got all of you thinking now!  hehe....
Thanks for peeking in and enjoy your new work week and some quality craft time too!
